October
“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”
Good Morning
We’re having a long summer here in Louisville this year. Temperatures are still hovering in the high 70s, and fall feels like it’s taking its time to settle in. No new artwork since my last post, though I’ve been soaking up plenty of walks, reading, resting, and inspiration-finding.
This month’s entry is a bit shorter, as I’m still carrying into October the same themes I reflected on in September. It feels like a season of intentionality: of slowing down and receiving the life and joy that come from embracing change, peace, and presence. I can feel a quiet flicker of inspiration rising as I sit with these thoughts, and I’m continuing to imagine a new collection that nourishes my own soul. One I hope will bring that same calm and meaning into your space someday.
For now, I’ll leave you with that little cliffhanger as I keep creating at a pace that allows those ideas of change, peace, and presence to stay at the heart of it all.
St James Art Fair
Located in the heart of historic Old Louisville, which holds the largest collection of Victorian homes in the country, the St. James Art Fair marks the beginning of fall in my book. Here are a few photos I snapped from the show. So many great artists. And those colors!!
October Outtakes
Just a few photos from this month documenting the season, the colors, and all the fall feels!

Tried and Loved Recipe: Apple Pie Mocktail
Over Halloween weekend, I mixed up a simple, nonalcoholic recipe that turned out surprisingly delicious. No measurements needed: just a mix of Sprite and apple cider over ice, topped with half & half and a drizzle of caramel syrup.
See you in November!
